Cops check on rock throwers

On Aug. 8, police received a report of juveniles throwing rocks off the bridge on Brown Street. The youths were gone when police arrived.

Possible break-in attempt

On Aug. 9, a Beechwood Avenue resident called police to report a front door had been tampered with. Police found no evidence anyone had gotten in, and nothing was stolen.

Grabber

On Aug. 9, police went to the corner of Central and Prospect Streets after getting a call about a pickup truck sitting idle with its door open. Police found the driver, who was in the middle of picking up his children.

Cops check on visitor

On Aug. 9, police got a call from Main Street reporting someone there “checking the doors” of various residences. Police found the person, who was looking for a friend.

Cell talker seems strange

Police checked on a young girl walking in the rain at the corner of Main Street and the Westbrook Arterial, acting oddly. The girl, it turned out, was talking on a cell phone with a wireless headset.

Arrests

Aug. 8

A 15-year-old was arrested on charges of refusing to stop/refusing arrest, criminal trespass, burglary, and theft at Riverbank Park on Main Street.

Kimberly A. Buotte, 48, of 206 Brown St., Apt. 2, Westbrook, arrested on a warrant on High Street.

Aug. 9

Tina Moon, 39, of 190 Coil St., Apt. 3, Portland, charged with theft at Kohl’s on Main Street.

Justin H. Knudsen, 22, of 540 Plains Road, Hollis, arrested on a warrant at the corner of Brown and Bridge Streets.

Aug. 10

Sharaleigh Burke, 33, of 529 Main St., Apt. 3, Westbrook, arrested on a warrant on Main Street. Also arrested was Zachary G. Moore, 32, of 529 Main St., Apt. 3, Westbrook, on three warrants.

A 14-year-old was arrested on charges of assault and disorderly conduct (offensive words, gestures) at the public safety building on Main Street.

Alicia M. Erickson, 24, of 32 Elmwood Ave., Apt. 3, Westbrook, arrested on a warrant at the corner of Bridge and Cumberland Streets.

Aug. 13

Robert E. Pednault, 39, of 118 King St., Westbrook, charged with driving under the influence on Conant Street.

Michael A. Dennison, 45, of P.O. Box 25, Limington, arrested on a warrant at the corner of Cumberland Street and Cottage Place.

Corey M. Poland, 26, of 19 Fairlawn Ave., Westbrook, charged with domestic assault on Fairlawn Avenue.

Rick S. McDevitt, 56, of 8 Hamlin Road, Falmouth, charged with driving under the influence with one prior conviction, and driving without a license at the corner of North and River Streets.

Jessica Sharlow, 22, of Box 124, Gabriels, N.Y., charged with driving without a license at the corner of Riverside and Forest Avenue.

Aug. 14

Adam M. Mesta, 21, of 13 Gromble Way, Windham, charged with speeding more than 30 mph over the limit, and violating conditions of release at the corner of East Bridge Street and Methodist Road.

Summonses

Aug. 8

A 15-year-old was charged with burglary and theft at Riverbank Park on Main Street.

Aug. 10

A 13-year-old was charged with terrorizing on Main Street.

Aug. 11

Jason Pitts, 36, of 34 Quimby Ave., Apt. 2, Westbrook, charged with sale and use of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana on the Bridge Spur.
