School Superintendent Marc Gousse will be hosting a public informational meeting on the $30.9 million Westbrook school budget on Saturday, June 9 from 8-10 a.m. in room 114 of Westbrook High School. The public is invited to attend to ask for any information on the budget in advance of the upcoming referendum vote.
The Westbrook school budget will be on the ballot for a referendum vote on Tuesday, June 12. The polls will be open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Ward 1 residents will vote at the Community Center at 426 Bridge St. Wards 2,3 and 4 will vote at the Westbrook Armory at 120 Stroudwater St. and Ward 5 voters will cast their ballots at the Prides Corner Congregational Church at 235 Pride St.
Absentee voting runs until June 7, ballots can be picked up at the City Clerk’s office. Any voter wishing to vote absentee after June 7 must show a valid reason to vote absentee.
