Incidents

Tuesday, April 30

Burglary — A Two Rod Road reported the someone entered the home through an unlocked door sometime between 8:45 and 10:40 a.m. that day and took a Wii video game system along with assorted prescription drugs, including one oxycodone tablet.

Theft — At 3:53 p.m. Wagon Masters on Border Road reported that someone took 60 used brake drums from a recycling bin at the business at some point between April 26-29. 

Theft — At 6:03 p.m. Penske Truck Rental on Postal Service Way reported that someone took 13 used brake drums from a recycling bin at the business at some point between April 26-29.

Wednesday, May 1

Criminal Mischief — At 1:04 p.m. a Beech Ridge Road resident reported that his property was “mucked up” by a rider on an ATV. 

Theft — At 2:48 p.m. an elderly woman reported that her pocketbook containing credit cards and $1,000 cash was taken while she was shopping at Shaw’s supermarket.

Thursday, May 2

Theft — At 2:58 p.m. a Seavey Landing Road resident reported falling victim to a paving scam. On April 30, two white males in a black Chevy pickup said they had material left over from a job at a nearby campground and offered to resurface the property owner’s driveway, for which he paid a $300 deposit. On May 2 the men returned saying they needed another $700 to start the job. After paying the money the property owner called the police. The pavers have yet to return to perform the work for which they were paid.

Saturday, May 4

Driving complaint — At 12:52 a.m. a person reported being run off the road near Chicago Dogs on Route 1 by an “older, white Chevy pickup truck, with faded bumper stickers” that pulled alongside in the southbound lane, then merged into the complainant’s lane before clearing the vehicle, damaging the front fender and headlight. The victim’s vehicle also cut down both passenger-side tires when it hit the curb trying to avoid the pickup.

Sunday, May 5

Burglary — At 7:27 p.m. a Berry Road resident reported that at some point during the previous four days someone entered the home through an unlocked door and took $2,000 in jewelry, including a wedding band, a diamond engagement ring, a peridot gold ring, a diamond necklace and a ruby and diamond gold ring.

Anthony V. Rosa, 30, of Yarmouth, at 8:31 a.m. on Black Point Road, on a warrant and charges of driving when license suspended and violating conditions of release.

Tuesday, April 30

Roger H. Cunningham III, 21, of Buxton, at 3:05 a.m. on Rout 1, on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Jeffrey R. Moon, 48, of Lisbon Falls, at 6:32 p.m. on Route 1, on a warrant and charges of driving when license suspended and driving a vehicle with a suspended registration.

Allen C. Rivest, 55, of Saco, at 10:43 p.m. on Payne Road, on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Wednesday, May 1

Kristin A. Kendall, 29, of South Portland, at 9:55 p.m. on Route 1, on a warrant of the South Portland Police Department.

Thursday, May 2

John G. Tice, 69, of Scarborough, at 10:59 p.m. on Route 1, on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Friday, May 3

Timothy Thibodeau, 46, of Scarborough, at 5:20 p.m. on Beech Ridge Road, on a charge of violating conditions of release.

Kristopher Smith, 35, of Scarborough, at 8:41 p.m. on Saco Street, on a charge of driving when license suspended.

Saturday, May 4

Stephen G. Claffie, 50, of Saco, at 1:36 a.m. on Avenue 6, on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Cynthia Simonds, 46, of New Castle, at 5:21 p.m. on Payne Road, on a charge of driving an unregistered vehicle (registration expired more than 150 days). 

Thomas V. Hugill, 54, of Scarborough, at 7:39 p.m. on Eastern Road, on a charge of driving while intoxicated (refused test).
