SANFORD – Maine drug enforcement agents, along with Sanford police, arrested a local man Thursday and charged him with selling cocaine, according to a press release from the Department of Public Safety.
Agents say David Lingenfelter, 46, of Springvale, faces two counts of aggravated trafficking in cocaine and is connected with another cocaine arrest from November. That arrest involved 45-year -old Michael Frechette of Sanford, also charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in cocaine.
Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Supervisor Peter Mador said the two have been selling cocaine in York County for several months and were working together.
The arrest of Lingenfelter took place without incident inside a Sanford social club about 4 p.m. Thursday. He was being held at the York County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. Frechette is now free on bail from his arrest in November.
