Hartley promoted at bank

Arline Hartley has been promoted to vice president-accounting manager at SIS Bank.  Hartley joined SIS in 1980, initially serving as a teller at the Springvale branch. Since then she has held a variety of positions for SIS.

A resident of Springvale known for driving her beloved Ford Mustang around town, Hartley and her husband have two children and two granddaughters. She is a volunteer at the Animal Welfare Society in Kennebunk, where she has cared for pregnant cats, raised kittens for adoption, worked on the Kitten Shower fundraiser event and raised money making cat blankets for the AWS Flea Market.

Girl Scout 
sessions set

Girl Scouts has scheduled Me & My Pal programs in York County so that participants can learn more about what Girl Scouting is all about. These programs are designed for girls and a parent/guardian. 

In Sanford, programs are Mondays, Feb. 25, March 4, 11 and 18, from 6-7 p.m., for girls in grades K-1. For more details, contact Kirstin Powell at or at 207-772-1177.

Dems meet

The York County Democratic Committee will meet on Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Alfred Parish Church in Alfred. Social time begins at 6 p.m., the meeting itself begins at 7 p.m. Contact Diane Denk, chairwoman, at or 604-0838.
