Polar dip benefit is Saturday
Volunteers with the Lebanon Rescue Department will be taking the plunge on Saturday, Feb. 16, to help children with cancer.
This year the polar dip is in honor of Austin Hudson, son of York County Deputy Sheriff Gil Hudson.
The 11th annual Shaw’s Polar Dip will take place at noon at Raymond Beach in Raymond. Lebanon Rescue members will jump into the cold Sebago Lake to help brave children fighting for their lives.

The Lebanon American Legion Post 214 canceled its Feb. 9 spaghetti supper due to the snow storm.
The next dinner is scheduled for March 9 at the First Parish Congregational Church on Center Road.
The all-you-can-eat dinner runs from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Cost is $7 (children under 10 eat free) and includes spaghetti, bread, salad, beans and hot dogs and homemade pies and cakes.
Church schedules breakfast Saturday
The Lebanon North Berwick Baptist Church on Little River Road (2 miles from 202) in Lebanon will have a Mission Breakfast on Saturday, Feb.16, from 7-10 a.m.
Pancakes and waffles, with or without strawberries and whip cream, will be served along with sausages, orange juice and coffee.
There is no charge for this breakfast but a donation to Mission projects would be appreciated.
Baseball, softball, Babe Ruth signups
Lebanon baseball and softball signups for ages 4-12, as well as Lebanon Babe Ruth signups, have been scheduled. They are Feb. 26, 5:30-7 p.m., Hanson School; and Feb. 16, Feb. 23, March 2 and March 9 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Lebanon Fire Station on Upper Cross Road.
A final signup will be offered on March 12 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Hanson School.
Any player who does not sign up by March 12 will be placed on a waiting list.
The registration fee is $50 per player and $35 for each additional family member. Any player who signs up in February will receive a $5 discount per player. No child will be turned away due to the inability to pay the registration fee.
All players must bring a copy of their birth certificate to signups. For more information, call Laura at 457-1230 or Chris at 457-1406.

On Saturday, Feb. 16, a special craft day starts at noon.
