SACO - The Portland Pirates hockey team has announced it will use the OA Performance Center in Saco as its new high performance training and practice facility throughout the upcoming season.

In addition, the team will hold its training camp, which starts on Sept. 13, at the OA center and the on-ice sessions will be open to the public. The Pirates will open their pre-season exhibition schedule on Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. against the New Brunswick Varsity Reds. This game will also held at OA and is also free and open to the public.

With the Cumberland County Civic Center undergoing renovations most of the Pirates’ early home schedule will be played at the Androscoggin Bank Colisée in Lewiston this upcoming season and most of its preseason exhibition games will be held in Saco.

Twelve Pack tickets for all 12 games in Lewiston are now available starting at $144. Call the Pirates box office at 828-4665, ext. 350, or the Colisee box office at 783-2009, ext. 525, for tickets and more information.
